Although Rope Access is a growth industry with an exemplary safety record, it is still commonly misunderstood and often harshly prejudged.
Opinions are often formulated through a lack of knowledge and a somewhat understandable ignorance for the industry's standards and procedures. ProAltus realise this and are willing to offer our experience and expertise within the industry to answer any queries with regards to Rope Access legislation and safety procedures.
- ProAltus Industries Ltd considers safety within the work place as our top priority; we endeavour to provide a safe work place ensuring operating procedures are constantly monitored in line with our Health & Safety policy.
ProAltus Industries Ltd is a CHAS – (Contractors Health & Safety Scheme) accredited company. CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK.- ProAltus Industries Ltd is SAFE CONTRACTOR approved.
SAFEcontractor is a leading health & safety pre-qualification assessment. - ProAltus follow guidelines and regulations set out by IRATA-The Industrial Rope Access Trade Association and work in accordance with BS7985;2002.
- All ProAltus technicians are IRATA qualified.
- All ProAltus contracts are supervised by an IRATA qualified Level 3.
- All ProAltus contracts are subject to internal safety assessments and audits.
- All ProAltus contracts are subject to ProAltus ‘Rope Access Work and Rescue Procedures’, copies of which along with the IRATA guidelines are present on site.
- Risk assessments along with detailed method statements are provided for all contracts. Included within the method statement is a detailed rescue procedure.
- Before every contract all technicians are briefed on the method of work, risks, the rescue procedure and their role within it
