ProAltus supported the installation of façade lighting to the front elevation of The Dorchester Hotel, providing rope access operatives to enable safe and efficient access to otherwise inaccessible areas of the building.

Working alongside C.A.G Electrical Contractors, our team assisted with the installation of twenty-seven luminaires across the south façade, using rope access techniques to position operatives accurately while maintaining full control of the working environment.

The project required careful planning and coordination, including the use of temporary deadweight anchor systems at roof level, implementation of exclusion zones below the working area, and close collaboration with other contractors operating on the façade.

Given the nature of the building and its location, works were carried out with a strong emphasis on safety, precision and minimal disruption, including some out-of-hours working to suit site constraints.

The result was a safe and controlled installation process, enabling high-quality façade lighting works to be completed efficiently while maintaining strict safety standards and coordination across a complex live site.
